So, have you heard of Jayla Roxx before?

She's a 26-year-old personality from television, and she is an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community. She once called Jacksonville, AL, her home. She had a conversation with News4Jax recently on becoming the first African American trans woman to open her beauty brand. Keep reading to learn more.

About Roxx and BatMe Cosmetics

Roxx started BatMe Cosmetics in the year 2017 after she struggled to purchase very high-quality eyelashes. She was performing drag and needed a solution, so she produced one.

Her beauty line does not just sell eyelashes, but it has expanded to create merch, lip gloss, contour kits, eyeshadow palettes, and lots more. These products are all vegan and cruelty-free.

Roxx states that when her business started, she did not have any idea of its true meaning. She did not know that she was indeed becoming the first African American trans woman to create such an epic brand.

All through the 2020 pandemic, Roxx released her next eyeshadow palette – The Box O Donuts Too.

It was about 30 colors of creativity and fun. The reason she made this fantastic product was that it her life story. Over time, she had to pick herself up from very dark places. She later figured out who she was, and it ended up being her coming of age story. Now she is bubbly, bright, and so much fun. She also wants all of her products to be as fun as she is.

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted lots of businesses, but for Roxx, it helped her achieve her dream.

The pandemic helped her with her business because she got stuck at home like we all were, but she used the time to work on her business.

Our Opinion about Roxx

She's an incredible person, and a great woman who knows what she wants. And luckily for her, when things were falling apart for a lot of people, that was when she picked herself up and started bettering her cosmetics business like never before.

She's trying to pave the way for other queer people worldwide. Her cosmetics beauty brand is doing a great job. It is reaching out to everyone out there. Her message is to feel proud and be happy with yourself. Those are more reasons why I love her general personality and what she's trying to create for the world. You go, girl!
